Back to Back Vacations
I hadn’t been on a long
vacation in quite a while. I never really had taken back to back vacations…but
there is always a first time to do just that!
My back to back
vacations would include my driving to my hometown, Utica, New York, to
primarily visit my cousins. Along with visiting my cousins, I needed to revisit
a number of places and take pictures for the book that I am currently writing.
I also had the pleasure of interviewing Wes Storm, the historian of Utica’s
Grace Episcopal Church, which is also included in my book. Wes Storm toured us
through Grace Church, gave me a number of books that would help with my book,
and answered a lot of questions. The Church which is a landmark is beautiful!
After my six day visit,
I drove back home to Pittsburgh, to rest, wash my clothes and re-pack my
suitcase. My next trip would be traveling with my oldest daughter, Kate, to
visit Portland, Oregon, where she now lives.
